We have detected a significant signal of unpulsed TeV gamma rays from the Vela pulsar region using the CANGAROO 3.8 m imaging Cherenkov telescope. Observations have been done with gamma-ray energy thresholds of about 2.5 TeV (1993 to 1995) and about 1.3 TeV (1997), and the data are used to estimate the spectrum of gamma rays from the TeV source. The gamma-ray emission mechanism will be discussed comparing with X-ray observations.
